Who runs a station

A Network Partner is anyone who owns a station: the marina's head of maintenance, an electrician, the person who looks after the Wi-Fi, or a member who runs one at their dock and lets everyone else use it. A marina can own its stations too, and give the job to a staff member as its Device Admin.

How credits work

A boat owner picks a Home Station for their boat. Each boat that picks yours earns credits for the plan it is on — and it counts whether or not the boat ever visits.

What you earn

Network Partners

1 credit: Dockside. 3 credits: Weekender. 5 credits: Voyager. Free, on a boat you own or co-own.

Marinas

15 credits: Marina Basic, free.

Credits are counted every day. If yours drop below what you've earned, you keep it for 30 days before it steps down. Boats you own or crew don't count toward your own station.

Public, and private to each boat

A station earns credits only while it is public: it carries every DockNeighbor boat in range, not just yours. As the station's owner you see which boats chose it as their Home Station and which boats it has carried recently, by boat name — never their readings or alarms.
