Where you're headed, and who's coming along
Plan the passage on charted water, let the people you choose follow along, keep the voyages you make β and, when it lands, file a float plan. Each item below says where it stands.
Each item below says where it stands, and anything unshipped is included on your plan the day it lands. The roadmap is the full picture.
Plan on real depth data Live today
Give it where you're leaving from and where you're going, and it builds the route through charted water for the draft you actually have β then checks the depth along every leg. It is a planning tool, not a navigation system: verify against official charts before you leave the dock.
- Automatic routes from charted water: the path around what your boat cannot cross is worked out from the charts, leg by leg, with a depth check for your draft.
- It says what it doesn't know: shallow water, stretches with no chart data, and charted rocks are labelled on the route β and "nothing known" is never "deep enough".
- Hybrid map: satellite imagery with the chart drawn over it, so a channel and the shoreline you'll actually see line up.
- Share a route: a link opens it view-only for anyone you send it to.
No sign-in needed to try it.
File a float plan with your Dock In development
A float plan is the oldest safety practice on the water and the one most often skipped, because telling somebody is a chore. When your Dock is already in the app, it stops being one.
- Who, where, when back: the plan goes to the neighbors you choose β not to a public feed.
- Overdue is a signal: the value of a float plan is somebody noticing you didn't come back.
- It's the same list: the neighbors who get your alarms are the neighbors who get your float plan.
Let them follow along Live today
Share the boat's position with the people you pick β family following a passage, a partner meeting you at the ramp. Friends who accept get position updates and a live where-is-it-now view.
- On every plan, including Free: following along is not something we intend to sell back to you.
- You pick the people: position goes to accepted friends, and you choose which alerts and sharing each one gets.
- A public option is planned for the paid plans, Dockside and up: the Vessel Status Site, a page anyone can look up β separate, opt-in, and not live yet.
Keep the passage Live on every plan
Voyage history keeps your tracks and passages as data you can revisit β 1 voyage on Free, 10 on Dockside, 50 on Weekender and 1000 on Voyager, exportable from Weekender up.
- Tracks and passages: where you actually went, kept rather than forgotten.
- Yours to export: your log, in a format you can take elsewhere (Weekender and up).
